What about the Wayfarin' Vagabond in 2011? Two Parts

Hello there and Happy 2011! How have your travels, travel plans, travel fantasies been going lately?

Around here, the only travel on the calendar was a recent 200 mile drive to visit my folks' and another 200 mile drive back here the next day. It was lovely, the tunes were awesome, and I amused myself on the road mightily. But big travel? Well, that's taking shape. But mostly in my mind and journal right now.

Part I

In 2011, I'm going to Europe. There, I said it. It's a big deal, because I never did that before. But this is the year!

Where, you ask? Well, I'll let you know when I stop hopping all over the map, and sort out more details than I've nailed down.

When? Late in the year.

For How Long? A month. Or longer.

How? Are you kidding me? That's too many details for one mind to comprehend on only the 5th day of the year. But I've decided to stop keeping my thougts and plans and failures of planning a complete secret and share them a little more openly, here. As of right now, all I know is that I'm going and we'll let it go at that. You're invited to click Subscribe and follow along as further announcements are made, though!

What Else? Part II

In 2011, there will be guest bloggers visiting Wayfarin' Vagabond dot com! Who? Well hold on and well find out together, okay? So far I've only pitched one blogger who travels (or traveler who blogs - you choose,) and she's totally in. (And by totally, I mean she's already sent me my first piece, thankyouverymuch!) But I'm planning for more, and will keep you posted as that unfolds, as well.

And that's it for the announcements. I've been holed up in my basement the cozy expanse of the lowest portion of a really big house in suburban America, writing and designing and dancing around in a wild and most excellent way, and the year has started exactly the way I want. I hope your own has also.

Here's to all our 2011 journeys being exactly the way we hope...
