Launching a new blog, craving sushi, and hanging with my laid-back Seattle peeps

Down the hall, I hear my friends talking. She is a friend I've known since college days, for quite a lot of years. He's the amazing catch of a guy she married. I'm staying in their Seattle home and although it's Monday, they both have the day off, I work from home, ("home" being wherever I happen to be on any given day,) and so the day has a nice laid back flavor to it. It doesn't hurt that there's a chilly, drizzly edge to the crisp afternoon air.

We're thinking about having sushi for lunch. And since it's almost 2pm, the idea of when that might actually happen probably needs a little bit of fire lit underneath it. Still, these are my non-planning friends. (My planning Seattle friends live in another neighborhood entirely, and I'm headed to their home later today.)

I've been thinking about starting this blog for a while. But today I woke up and knew it was time. So here you are: my new "Wants To Be A Travel Blog When It Grows Up" website.

This site is dedicated to the discoveries and lessons I'm learning along the way to becoming a serious traveler. I'll write some more about that label later on. For now, I've got some lunch plans to nail down with my friends. And, y'know, finish making this website. Soon enough...
