Auntie, Squarespace Fan, & then some...

105053-755368-thumbnail.jpgSome days the list of hats one gets to wear reads a little longer than other days. This very busy Monday was a good one - and a busy one, too.  I wore the Auntie Hat, the Squarespace Fan Hat, the Web Developer Hat, the Jewelry Designer Hat, and then some. Deciding how soon I'm going to wrap it up tonight, I reviewed my day. Wanna' peek? Here you are!

  • Put together another couple of mockup samples for one of my Seattle website clients - emailed 'em over so she'd have them waiting when she awoke this morning.
  • Replied to some emails.
  • Walked Bailey The Dog, (J.'s best friend for 9 years or so.)
  • Returned a rented steam cleaner
  • Went to the Post Office to check my box,
  • where I discovered, among other things, a check for a couple of necklaces I didn't know had sold in one of the galleries that carries them. Woo hoo!
  • Drove to Mr. Pie's house,
  • where I fell in love all over again.
  • And when he napped, talked on the phone to a local web client who wants to hire me to also help her with some random other projects I find interesting enough to compel me to say yes, and to someone else who has also sold some of my necklaces and wanted to fill me in on the totals. Woo hoo again!
  • Played with Mr. Pie again when he woke up.
  • And took his photo. Lots of 'em. Not the ones in this post; I actually took these on Saturday. But I think you'll agree with me they're heart-meltingly adorable, perhaps even to those who aren't his aunties!
  • 105053-755371-thumbnail.jpgHung out with Mr. Pie's Mom and enjoyed a sliver of Sister Time.
  • Had dinner with J.
  • Called aforementioned local client back to discuss further details on work she needs my help with tomorrow.
  • And another from fellow Squarespace User who needed advice on how to manage something administratively. Took that call on the sofa; found myself pleased to be familiar enough with the Glorious Service That Is Our Hosting Provider that I walked him through his process with my feet up, ankles crossed, eyes closed...
  • Took call from other local friend, thanking me for the lovely do this weekend (J. and I did a bit of entertaining; a good time was had by all.)
  • Hung up on her to take call from Aforementioned Seattle Client. Timezone and scheduling differences being what they are, sometimes the window of opportunity is very small. Worked out another layer of design details that now allows me to proceed with a good portion of the design work.
  • Found photo CD with forty billion shots, most of which I'm sure you won't be surprised, featured one very adorable 13 month old.
  • Vowed never to let anyone shorter than I am take my picture again. Short photographers accentuate the phenomenon known as The Double Chin. Nobody wants that.
  • Oohed and aahed, once more, over how Very Much Adorable my nephew is.
  • Realized I might be wasting time and decided to write a blog entry since it's been several days.
  • Yawned.
  • Tried to talk self into doing another hour of work on Seattle Client's Web Project.
  • As of this writing, haven't yet decided.
  • Wished you a glorious week...
