Teaching first, then Festival Season resumes

Start your shopping yet?Just to keep things interesting, today's schedule is gonna' fly. First I'll get downtown for my seniors' beading workshop. Looking forward to that; I didn't see them last week and have been missing them.

Then it's back home to freshen up and grab what hasn't already been delivered to GTCC for today's festival. (Thanks Cheryl!)

I'll then drive to the Jamestown campus of the college where I used to work. Where I'll help out however I can at this co-op selling venture where you can buy all manner of items which were lovingly created by hand:

  • pottery,
  • jewelry - as I've mentioned - of various kinds including fused glass pieces, and possibly other styles too...plus my own designs.
  • stained glass,
  • mosaic mirrors - I hope,
  • books,
  • scarves,
  • purses,
  • soap,
  • stuffed horse heads on a stick for children...
  • and no doubt more variety that I'm forgetting, too!

Oh! And I hear the items donated for raffle are phenomenal. Which is always something to look forward to.

All in all, I know our customers are going to have a great time. As shall I: there isn't the need to sit behind a booth looking wistfully at potential customers, and when I'm not actually working, I'll get to catch up with lots of former co-workers I haven't seen in a long time. That's one of the huge draws to me when I sign up for festivals at this college. I have some lovely repeat business and the people are great...if not as customers, I'll get more than my share of hugs today. And really, who doesn't love a day full of hugs?

Now, about your shopping list...perhaps you're in the market for some handcrafted, one-of-a-kind necklaces, hmmmmm?
