In High Park on Saturday I saw a couple of excellent animals I figured I'd tell you about. First, understand that I'm sure this isn't a particularly Canadian thing, rather it just happened that I was in Canada when I saw them. And therefore I'll connect my memory of these little dudes to my trip here. And now so will you.
First, let me tell you about High Park. It's huge. You have there access to tons of walking and skating and biking trails, as well as a little cafe for lunching and coffee, public washroom facilities, and outdoor sculpture. But among my favorite memories of my first visit to High Park are the animals I saw there. Namely a dog (Cocker Spaniel? I don't know...I think so but I'm not great with breeds) in a sweater and a squirrel that was black instead of what I thought was the typical grayish brown.
They didn't do anything particularly exciting. The dog hung out with his dude, and played with another doggie at some point. And the squirrel found scattered peanuts under a huge tree and chased another, more typically-colored, squirrel. But how cool they were to me! And now that I've told you about them, they'll be in my blog indefinitely and I'll be able to remember them too.
