From the Archives - Wisdom from Alan Alda

Yesterday on Facebook, a friend shared a quote that I was certain was familiar, though it had been years since I'd read it. Six, to be exact, once I found the post in my blog. It's so good, I'm going to share it again today.

It's excellent to remember that living creatively is a choice, although for some it feels more like an imperative. I love the way he puts this...

In January 2007, I wrote:

Perhaps you won't be surprised to know I've been thinking about creativity this morning. Specifically my thoughts turned toward what it means to live life creatively...what it means To Be a Creative Person.

There's a lot that's been said on the subject. When I'm in this space I like to peek around and see what others have to say about the topics of my curiosity. Good stuff, too. Maybe you'll enjoy this quote as much as I did...

Be brave enough to live life creatively. The creative is the place where no one else has ever been. You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. You can't get there by bus, only by hard work and risk and by not quite knowing what you're doing. What you'll discover will be wonderful. What you'll discover will be yourself.    - Alan Alda
