More about that website dissatisfaction issue...
It's not that there aren't things about my website that please me. Not that at all; I spent rather a lot of time designing it. But as was mentioned over here, I've been feeling less and less enamored with my site. Perhaps it's because of the design, and perhaps it's because of the All Over The Place-Ness of the site. Regardless, themes are reemerging and I'm less and less able to ignore them.
Here's the thing.
Of course I like it when you're happy. (Plus that little matter of my narcissistic side.)
Business is good. Perhaps I mentioned this already? I'm having fun with 4 different website development projects, not to mention that recently completed sweet little graphic banner design for someone who's working on her own site. I'd love to tell you the joy of the work is all it takes to spur me on. I could tell you that, even.
It'd be a lie, though. I'd be happy, sure, but not satisfied in that extra little way that's missing when nobody notices your job well done.
Website design angst - again?
Okay, not angst exactly. But still... I turned on my computer this morning and realized I'm tired of the look of my website. Again. It's been a while, of course, but regulars will recognize this declaration. I love, love, love my site for x number of days, weeks, months - even - and then boom. I'm
