From Flickr's "Interestingness" on my birthday

So Flickr lets you peek in at photos they've selected, then catalogued by date. They call it "Interestingness" which is my kind o' word. Here's one of their choices from my birthday this year. Because it's early, I haven't had coffee yet, and January 21 comes to mind so spiffingly!

There are lots of elements that make something 'interesting' (or not) on Flickr. Where the clickthroughs are coming from; who comments on it and when; who marks it as a favorite; its tags and many more things which are constantly changing. Interestingness changes over time, as more and more fantastic content and stories are added to Flickr. 

My thinking this morning was that if I looked at some great photos, I'd be inspired when I pick up my camera again in a few minutes and get shooting again. Although what I'm shooting is very different from these. Never mind. They're gorgeous shots and you might enjoy checkin'em out too.

Now. Coffee anyone?
