Innovation meets technology meets talent...

imogen_heap_just_for-now.jpgHow often have you heard the phrase: "Learn to trust your voice," lately? This morning when I watched this video again that phrase came to mind... only with a different meaning than is usually intended. Watching Imogen Heap in this rehearsal session of Just for Now, using "nothing more" than the trust in her own voice, the clapping of her hands, an oceanful of talent...and some seriously cool recording equipment, the words struck me differently than usual. In an extreme way.

Having only recently discovered this stunningly innovative musical talent, I'm enthralled by her boldness. The sound of her voice is distinctive, but so are a lot of voices. Somewhere along the way, somebody told this woman she was talented. And they told her she could. And she believed them. Among the finest things I know is the idea of creative talent explored...you just never know what will come when you "go with it."

It's been well over a year since I stopped designing jewelry - for anybody other than myself, anyway - but I haven't completely eliminated the jewelry part of my site. Plus I still get enough interest from people wanting to see what I used to design, so for now these links just live down here. For now, anyway. Enjoy!
