Happy Birthday Mr. Pie!

So today the noodlehead turns two. Today we celebrate the arrival of He Who Changed Everything. Who knew my life would be so affected when Mr. Pie came to be in our family? I sure didn't! Seen here on Feb 9, the last day I took photos of him. I couldn't choose just one for this auspicious occasion, so this screenshot seemed the perfect solution.
Sis called a little while ago to find out when I'm coming over. I'm taking the day off to play with the family. Do other people give themselves holidays from work to celebrate the birthdays of their nephews? Is this weird? Surely not! I asked if he knows it's his birthday yet. She said, "I don't know, but he knows he got a Lightening McQueen balloon!" There's little that tops getting not only a balloon but also getting one that has your favorite movie character on it!
They've already been running errands this morning. I, on the other hand, am moving a little slowly. Up too late last night, but that excuse won't fly. On my second cup of coffee - black, the way I've been drinking it for 4 days now Surely I'll start preferring it this way eventually, right? - I'm hoping that helps soon.
Regardless, it's time to kick it into gear and go celebrate the noodlehead. And celebrate we will. Grandma and Grandpa are on their way from SC (hopefully by now - they hadn't left last I heard,) and there's a big hoo ha at Chuck E Cheese (I know how jealous you are, just reading this now,) and later no doubt we'll all sit around and watch him be adorable together. 'Cause what else would you do?

Happy B-day Mr. Pie! And Melody--what's with the black coffee? Did I miss something? That happens to be the way I drink it but obviously you're not thrilled. Why the change?

Black coffee - something I started doing at work one morning last week. Hm. I should write a blog post about it, eh? Yea, that's a great idea. More soon then? :)
I'm so sorry that I missed the birthday party. Besides the logistics of...let's see...of you being about 700 miles away from here...let's not go there. Suffice it to say, give Mr. Pie a big hug for us and a big happy birthday!
