Roy's Folks Crafts Fair this Friday - hope to see you there!

Pardon my delay in telling you but yes, I'm planning to participate in this year's Roy's Folks Crafts Fair (For Info On the 2008 Roy's Folks Craft Fair, click here.) Although my festival shedule this year is much lighter than usual, I'm thrilled to be included in this one: Friday, Nov. 16 between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. at Providence Place on Westchester Dr.

Regular readers may recall my delight in having been contacted for an interview on Roy's Folks early this year. You couldn't have overlooked the news - I blogged about it from all angles, shared photos, and even posted a link from my site to the online airing of my interivew. You can even relive my excitement with me over here!

Beyond telling you that I plan to be there, with every bit of my current inventory that I can pull together, I can't tell you much more. My friend and client, Lynn Salsi, whose networking skills made this whole thing happen in the first place is also going to be there, selling books. She says our booths will be together. I'm counting on her to help me along; it's not her first time and I, the little ole' newbie, will tag along and do my best to pull it all together.

Good for me I know where all my display materials are in my storage unit!  Um, I think so, anyway!

For those who read this and think I've been taking this event lightly, perhaps you're a little right. Having talked on the phone with David Weatherly, the Roy's Folks producer, today, I now know more. Enough to know that now I'm much more excited... and much more nervous. Which is generally a good sign.

I've scheduled my week accordingly. Tomorrow, a long day at the office. But all day Thursday? Yup - it's all prepwork. Whatever that takes:

• Last minute pickup of forgotten display supplies? Check.
  
• Adding price tags to recently-completed items? Check.
  
• Polishing these copper thingies I use in my display sometimes? Yea, I think so.
  
• Locating the gargantuan pieces of velvet I use to cover my tables? Check.
  
• And on it goes.

And guess what? Sure, I should have realized it. What with it being A TV Show And All. But yes, parts of this event are gonna' be televised, too. So not only do I want to make sure I'm there on time, but now I have THAT to be a bit more concerned about. Alas, I think it's gonna' be okay. But if no blogging happens before then? You'll know where I am. Buried under booth prep materials...
