Fond recollections of recipes gone bad...

It occurs to me that I have a seemingly infinite array of posts from the past few years, so I'm going to start occasionally highlighting an old post. Maybe you, like me, forgot about something you read here long ago. Maybe you never read it the first time around. Whatever - doesn't really matter to me. Maybe you read it and didn't find it worth repeating at all! (In which case check you out - you now have extra time added to your day's schedule, that you might have otherwise spent reading a long rambly Melody Blog. Ta da! Thank me if you like.)

So I recently found this one and it cracked me up. Of course it's long and convaluted and fairly fragmented, but oh how I enjoyed writing it...
