More on learning through teaching

Are you one of the people who thinks it's fun to show a friend how to do something? Sharing a little knowledge is, to me, a lot of fun. Maybe it's because so many people have given so freely to me. I couldn't know so many of the things I know if people hadn't taken the time to answer all my questions.

And so I've scheduled a block of time this week with a friend I rarely get to see. Fellow artist and she-who-tries-many-different-things, she's also one of the people who has shared her resources so freely with me. Now I get a chance to give back.

We're going to restring a bracelet, attach a clasp and who knows what else? I'm really quite looking forward to it. It's always a time when I end up learning as much as I share. It'll be fun to see what I learn this time!

This reminds me of your Granddad. He is, though he never finished high school and didn't even get close to going to college, one of the best teachers I have ever known!
