Overheard: on child-rearing techniques

Two young mothers are talking...sharing stories about their still-new experiences as moms. Both their children are baby boys...one is walking, the other's on the verge. Comparing notes, they express incredulity at the child-rearing habits of some of their friends. Friends whose toddlers, small children and pre-adolescents tend to run wild, in the opinion of these two women just getting started on this journey.

Says the mother of the baby who's already walking: "I know what you mean. Sometimes I just want to grab my friends and say, "Rally your hellions!" 

I've seen those hellions' mothers...
