These are the Festival Bracelets

A while back, just before the **next-to-the-last outside arts festival I signed up to do, I decided it would be fun to design a series of bracelets in honor of this festival. Just like festivals, they would be colorful and unique and scads of fun.

I didn't sell one that day.

But I sold all I made. All, of course, for the two I gave Cindi and the one I kept for myself, which was, quite possibly, stolen appropriated for his own use and enjoyment by my nephew, Mr. Pie, who is a bit of a klepto at times. Never mind that. I love these bracelets. Mostly because they're so different and fun and, well, festival-like! I've been getting the urge to make more soon. Think I will...

Then I stopped designing jewelry. I haven't removed this page because old blog posts link here and there's no need for broken links! Plus you never know? Maybe someone would want a custom designed festival bracelet during a week I'm feeling particularly inspired to get out my jewelry design materials! :) But mostly this is just to show some of the fun things I've done in the past. Website designs keep me on my toes now.

**Along with the other reasons I generally preferred not to do festivals - especially ones that are outside - this particular hoo-ha - the one for which my bracelets are named - happened upon a windy day. Our booths kept blowing over. Some people lost some things. It's not uncommon. This was to have been my last outside festival, but I'm something of a pushover. With an optimistic bent. So I signed up to participate in the event written about here and here. Now I'm confident of it:  if you're gonna' be outside, best to play with frisbees and puppies and babies and stuff. Artisan jewelry displays? Not so much...

It's been well over a year since I stopped designing jewelry - for anybody other than myself, anyway - but I haven't completely eliminated the jewelry part of my site. Plus I still get enough interest from people wanting to see what I used to design, so for now these links just live down here. For now, anyway. Enjoy!
