What topped the charts the day YOU were born?
Monday, 6 April, 2009 at 12:36 PM
According to the site, thisdayinmusic.com, "I Heard it Through the Grapevine" by Marvin Gaye was the number one song on the charts in the US the day I was born. I think that's very much cool.
What about you? Any ideas? Take a look! Or don't care about that date but wonder about the day you graduated from high school? Hm. Now I'm curious. Hold up, I'll go check...
Eek. I shouldn't be surprised, but the results were not quite so impressive as my first day in the world. The day I graduated from Greenville High School, Kim Wilde's "You Keep Me Hanging On" was at the top of the charts.
Take a look! Then tell us... what date did you choose, and what was the special song?

I Love You for Sentimental Reasons by The King Cole Trio--the day I was born. I am not familiar with the song. Wonder what it sounds like?
Mom
Well, let's go find out! :) Click here and you can hear it on YouTube. Nice, huh?
You are so smart--I wouldn't even know how to look for it on U Tube. When there is a link to something I enjoy looking at other things but to find a specific thing--I don't know how?
Thanks!
Love
Mom
PS I enjoyed it! Maybe I'll play it for Dad
Well, I looked, and Frankie Carle' "Rumors are Flying" was on the day I was born. I don't remember the song--maybe I wasn't listening that day--but Carle was a pretty good pianist. I actually had an album by him at one time. It wa "A Carle Load of Hits," featuring railroading songs like "Chatanooga Choo-Choo" Probably traded it for something else.
Dad
Mom, you're sweet, but you'll remember it's related to my job. I'm supposed to know how to navigate the net. The more you do it the more you know how. DO play it for Dad! It's very pretty.
Dad, I think it's funny you think you probably traded his album for something else. I hadn't heard this song either, but I found a clip here on Amazon. Check it out!
