This joke sort of reminds me of this week

Can't quite explain why, but I'm not sure I've been making the best or most logical choices these last few days, when it comes to time-management and getting ready for this weekend's event, A Bit of Indulgence:

Saw this joke. The punch line seems obvious but it's possible I've been acting a bit like the visitor this week:

Bathtub Test

During a visit to the mental asylum, a visitor asked the Director how do you determine whether or not a patient should be institutionalized.

'Well,' said the Director, 'we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to empty the bathtub.'

'Oh, I understand,' said the visitor. 'A normal person would use the bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or the teacup.'

'No.' said the Director, 'A normal person would pull the plug. Do you want a bed near the window?'
Okay. I need to go pull the plug on a few (hundred?) unnecessary tasks...

Which did you choose, the bucket, the teacup, or the spoon?

Mom said you made her day--she immediately said "use the plug!"

So I suppose you have a sand, or at least a normal, Mom!

Have a good day!

Oddly, it's the one time I didn't think to try and solve the question...just listened to the story, so when I heard the end, I thought "duh!" But who knows... these days I think I'm trying to use a teacup. 'Cause it's got that convenient handle, right?

I do have a sane Mom. But normal? Heh.

Hope your day is good too!

One always needs a handle, do we not?

Your mom is alright. She has put up with me for 41 years! and she is taking care of me right now like I was a three year old. Don't know what I'd do without her!

She always knows when to "pull the plug!"

41 years is a lot. (Not for putting up with you...just a lot, period!)
