Reflection: Space Needle

When you're in Seattle, it's fairly well guaranteed your going to see the Space Needle.

I'm a freelancing "creative type" making a career out of helping others express themselves creatively. My site includes both professional & personal content. Here in the blog, you're as likely to read my random musings as something related to my particular twist on self-employment. For more, you might want to read this page.

It's been six weeks since I left home. In one hour, I'll be boarding a flight for Atlanta, and an hour after landing there, the last leg to Greensboro. Then? Then I'll go to sleep in my own bed.**
Seattle's main airport is like the rest of Seattle, in that everywhere you look, you're likely to stumble upon some sort of art installation. Tile mosaics are everywhere. A little smattering of 3-D flowers top the doorway to the shuttle that brings you over to the "S5" gate where I'm awaiting my departure. Inlaid sculptural carved thingies pop out from the entrance to restrooms. It's like a final treat, as if the city is saying, "Just for good measure, we want you to have this little snippet of loveliness before you go. On top of the delicious Wi-Fi we're giving you. For Free. And not charging you for. At no cost to you. Just to make sure you don't forget us."
