Long exhale after returning to my hideaway & finishing up seriously productive workday

Remember Pavlov's dogs? Do you ever have one of those weeks that so consistently springs surprise after surprise on you that, once you've successfully resolved the unexpected issues, you discover you're holding your breath as you jump back into the task list you'd hoped to have completed days ago? It's as if, like those dogs hearing the ringing bell, you're expecting something to go wrong because, well, so many things have!

Ladies And Gentlemen: I am happy to report that today's work not only went off like a hitch, but it's possible I accomplished even more than I would have on an ordinary day that had no hint of doom breathing over my shoulder.

Today, in short, kicked butt.

In addition to celebrating The Workday To Make You Jealous, I'm also throwing out gratitude that I made it back from Greensboro yesterday safely. That was one seriously scary drive. Especially the last hour. I don't recall ever driving so far in such a deluge before. Nor do I recall driving through so many flooded patches of country roads. My steering wheel was never gripped so tightly before.

But now? I'm here, I don't intend to leave the house again tomorrow, as I'm anticipating that tomorrow will be just as successful today - if not moreso - and now I think I'd better move about the cabin with great enthusiasm. Before my stiff body gets stuck in a sitting position.

Hope your weekend is starting nicely, too!
