I fall a little in love with ALL my clients...

It doesn't seem to matter what kind of project I'm working on, as a freelancer, I try to create the luxury of taking the exact amount of time I need with every new client. In those hours, days, weeks - sometimes months - of collaborating, of putting together the end result that will represent their business, art, or project online to the fullest, I become their biggest fan.

You have to do this, I think. Getting into my clients' heads to find out what it is they love about what they do helps me turn that love into something tangible. If I succeed... if we succeed together, then the end result pleases the client and launching a new site is among my happiest feelings.

I'm about to launch what is very possibly my happiest site ever. Over the past couple of months, I have completely fallen in love with these clients. Bit by bit, pixel by pixel, we have created a site - hosted on Squarespace - that makes me giggle aloud every time I peek at it. Been giggling a lot this morning.

Ohhh!

I love that we don't necessarily have to cut the cord once the site is finished. I tend to stay in touch with most of my clients. Which means I don't have to let ya'll go, either! Ta da! I knew I was in the right line of work...
