"A real person, a lot like you" - Watch this video, then share it with your favorite kid.

Derek Sivers wrote a seemingly simple book called Anything You Want. The founder of cdbaby, he shares behind-the-scenes anecdotes from the journey to building his successful business. Sivers didn't "do it the right way" by many standards, and that's a key to some of the most inspiring parts of the book. Following your passion matters, and sometimes doing so will convince others you've lost your mind.

Reading his book led me to his video "A real person, a lot like you."

A real person, a lot like you from Derek Sivers on Vimeo.

This video reinforces the importance of remembering the real person often "on the other end" when we're using computers. "Cyber bullying" didn't exist when I was a kid, but it's such a common phrase now. This one is worth sharing... maybe especially with any "kids" in your life.

I also recommend the book. Especially if you've been suppressing a dream that just won't go away.
